We look forward to welcoming you at the <em>Corpus Congress Centre<\/em> in Leiden. The three keynote speakers have already been announced! Taking to the plenary stage will be:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00b7 <strong>Dr Jennifer Holmgren<\/strong>, CEO of Lanzatech<\/li>\n<li>\u00b7 <strong>Dr Maria Fatima Lucas<\/strong>, CEO of Zymvol Biomodeling<\/li>\n<li>\u00b7 <strong>Prof. Mark van Loosdrecht,<\/strong> Professor of Environmental Biotechnology, TU Delft<strong><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In addition to the keynote lectures, the programme includes parallel sessions, posters, company stands, and of course ample opportunities for networking. Register now at <a href=\"nbc.kncv.nl\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">nbc.kncv.nl<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p> <\/p>\n\n<h3>New NBV Genomics Working Group<\/h3>\n<p>The Genomics Working Group is the newest addition to the NBV and focuses on both the biotech industry (pharma and agriculture) and academic biotech\/life sciences. The aim of the Genomics Working Group is to encourage knowledge exchange in the field of rapidly evolving sequencing and genotyping technologies. We do this by creating a shared network of both academic and industry members, organising webinars, and discussing societal issues such as data regulation. Topics covered will span the entire biotech workflow, from sampling and DNA\/RNA extractions to library preps, sequencing\/genotyping, and Bio-IT analyses. The book is suitable for a wide audience and equally engaging for microbiologists and secondary school pupils alike. It addresses topical subjects such as natural gas, antibiotics, coronavirus, genetic modification, vaccines, and climate change. Highly recommended!
