MaterialenNL Conference 2026
Materials Creating Value
The MaterialenNL Platform, in collaboration with the NWA Routes Materialen – Made in Holland and Circular Economy, is joining forces again to unite the entire materials community at the yearly MaterialenNL Conference in Hotel Papendal, on Tuesday 1 December 2026.
This year, the entire Dutch materials community has engaged in the process of developing an updated Dutch Materials Agenda to be published shortly after the summer of 2026. At the MaterialenNL Conference 2026, and in the upcoming years, this knowledge agenda will be a catalyst for collaboration and innovation.
The conference sessions will address core themes of this agenda. Clean competitive industry, recycling plastics, the circular economy of critical materials and more specifically, the value chain of electronics, materials for robotics, and AI for materials research will have our special attention.
To ‘celebrate’ materials science and engineering, we will also showcase some successful scientific stories in one of the parallel sessions.
Furthermore, we will organize interactive sessions and thematic workshops addressing both academic and societal issues and skills. These workshops are intended for all members of the materials science community, and will be particularly aimed at our early-career researchers. Think of, for example, responsible use of artificial intelligence in research and publishing, and entrepreneurship.
Check the conference website for details on the program, venue and registration.
