The volunteer team of Jong-KVCV is ready to roll up its sleeves at a wide range of KVCV events. You’ll find us as crew members at the annual Science Quiz at Technopolis, during the set-up and breakdown of the well-known Kekulé lectures, and as KVCV representatives at job fairs. As part of the Flemish Chemistry Olympiad, we also inspire future students by giving them a taste of an afternoon in a real university research laboratory, guided by Jong-KVCV volunteers.
In addition, we organise our own activities, with a focus on universities and higher education institutions in Flanders. Think engaging lectures, seminars, company visits, and networking opportunities for and by students. These enable students to make their first contacts within academia and the business world.
In the 2025–2026 academic year, we have no intention of standing still. For the next edition of the Science Quiz, we are busy preparing quiz questions. Our youth team is contributing to a spectacular entry for the Day of Science. Furthermore, Jong-KVCV is playing its part in the prestigious ECC10 congress in Antwerp, of which KVCV is the organiser.
As a volunteer with Jong-KVCV, you invest time in organising and supporting events, but you get at least as much in return: you sharpen your organisational skills and expand your network within the world of chemistry and life sciences.
