Jong KNCV Poster Competition during the PAC Symposium

On 6 March, the annual PAC symposium took place in Amsterdam, organised by the student associations ACD, Proton, CDL and VCSVU. The symposium also offered students the opportunity to present their own research.

In collaboration with Jong KNCV, PAC organised a poster competition. The topics ranged from electrochemistry to forensic chemistry and focused primarily on fundamental research.

The winner of the poster competition was Thijs de Groot (University of Amsterdam). It was a difficult decision for the jury, but Thijs managed to distinguish himself with a visually attractive and creative poster alongside a strong, interactive presentation. He not only discussed the positive aspects of his research, but also provided insight into unexpected or less successful results. This was greatly appreciated by the jury, as scientific research rarely proceeds exactly as anticipated.
